Lubricators and Cooling Systems

Lubricators for High Frequency Motorized and Machining Spindle Units
with Gear Box for Milling and Grinding

Lubricators for High Frequency Motorized Spindle Units for Milling and Grinding, these are available from a variety of suppliers.

Air supply must be clean and dry, filtered to 5 microns or better.

Air pressure at approx. 6 bar

Oil: viscosity not below ISO VG 22, (105 SUS) and be filtered to 5 microns

Regarding lubricating cycles, smaller oil quantities and higher injection frequencies are preferred, to avoid unneccessary viscous friction. Calculated data must be determined empirically for the particular application. Actual frequency is typically found to be higher than the calculated value.

Cooling Systems for High Frequency Motorized and Machining Spindle Units with Gear Box for Milling and Grinding

Coolant systems are available from a variety of suppliers. Depending on spindle size, flow is between 4 to 8 l/min. The coolant, with its anti-corrosive additives, has to be pre-cleaned and filtered to a maximum allowable particle size of 100 µm. Maximum inlet pressure: 7 bar, inlet temperature 20...30°C. These parameters must be monitored.

Required cooling capacity/heat load is in accordance with the specifications for the applicable spindle.
